Our group visits agriculture-based communities every year in late January for our annual convention and business meeting. Because the location moves every year, we are able to visit a wide variety of places across the state and explore new communities along the way! Common events during our annual convention include tours of local industries, live music, social hours, annual awards banquet, and our live article auction.
Held at the conclusion of the annual awards banquet during state alumni convention, the article auction features both live and silent items for our purchase. These articles are donated by local businesses, state sponsors, and other individuals. Notable items included a pellet grill, step ladder, baling twine, cattle prod, hand tools, clothing, homemade food items, and art featuring agriculture. Donations to the auction are open to anyone who wishes to support Agricultural Education!
We are proud to announce that the January 2024 conference will be hosted in Columbus, Nebraska on January 19th - 20th.
