Annual Convention Details

Our group visits agriculture-based communities every year in late January for our annual convention and business meeting. Because the location moves every year, we are able to visit a wide variety of places across the state and explore new communities along the way. Common events during the annual convention include tours of local industries and businesses, live music, social hours, awards banquet, and live and silent auctions.

Held at the annual awards banquet during state alumni convention, the article auction features both live and silent items for our purchase. Donations to the auction are open to anyone who wishes to support Agricultural Education!

The 2025 Convention will be held in Lincoln January 17-18.

Annual Business Meeting

The annual meeting includes all those who attend the annual convention.

Tours

Each year, tours are planned in the location of the convention to showcase major businesses/industries in the area. Local FFA chapters provide lunch and dinner as a way to engage with FFA alumni and showcase their programs. 

Fund Raising

As a part of the annual convention, a silent and live auction is held to raise funds for the FFA alumni as well as local chapters. A dessert auction is also held in which the proceeds from the dessert auction are divided among the chapters who are helping to host the convention.

Awards Banquet

At the conclusion of the convention, an awards banquet is held where award winners are announced, there is a meal, a keynote speaker, and a silent and live auction.
